Log In To VPN (via the Fortilcient application)īefore you can log in to protected UTRGV resources, you MUST establish a VPN connection using the VPN client (FortiClient) installed on your computer.
User Name: Your full UTRGV email If you are using a Chromebook or other mobile device, ensure that the app has permission to storage.
Select Customize Port: 443 (ensure the associated checkbox for Port 443 is checked).
If you are using a Chromebook or mobile device, you will have to manually configure the connection.
The Connection Settings should be pre-populated during the install process. NOTE: Username and Password will need to be entered.
Select your operating system, then click to download and install software. NOTE: If a previous version of FortiClient VPN is already installed on the computer, it will need to be uninstalled prior to installing the new version.
Students that are unable to log into the Forticlient VPN application (see instructions below) must submit a Service Request to request VPN access.įortiClient VPN application is available for university computers from the Software Center(PC) or Self Service(Mac)application.
Current students should have access to VPN.
As of Septem"Global Protect Always On" will replace Forticlient on UTRGV managed PC's.
